Jeld-wen recommends however that all standard doors be hung with the use of 2 x 3″ hinges. (2 x 76mm) Unless the weight of the door is more than 20kg. If you are hanging a door where there are likely to  be changes in humidty. Therefore please use 3 hinges for all weights of doors.

In addition, all the doors are marked with the area for the lock block. Usually 900mm from the bottom of the door. This area gives you 160mm either side of this measurement hence gives you adequate space to fit the handles and locks. The actual block measures 320mm x 55mm wide.

As a result please remember to use the correct tools and furthermore don’t use high speed or auger drill bits. Hence use the correct size wood drill bits!
